The training will also equip participants with skills necessary for the development of informed policies and decision making critical to the management and enhanced delivery of Oceans.
The training is organized pursuant to Decision CP8/6c of the Eighth Conference of Parties to the Nairobi Convention on support and partnership for implementation of the Strategic Action Programme for the protection of the Western Indian Ocean from land based sources and activities. A key component of the strategic action programme involves strengthening governance and awareness in the Western Indian Ocean.
